All schools in the Pulaski County School system are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and have met State Accreditation standards.

Hawkinsville High School offers two areas of study, College Prep and/or Tech Prep.

HOPE

"Helping Outstanding Pupils Educationally" is Georgia's unique program that rewards high school students' hard work with financial assistance in degree, diploma, or certificate programs at any Georgia public or private college, university, or technical institute.

In 2002, 22% of Hawkinsville High School's Seniors received the HOPE Scholarship.

Programs and Designations

Youth Leadership Pulaski County is led by the Hawkinsville-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce. The program is open to 10-12th graders who have a good academic standing. Approximately 15 students participate yearly.

Designated a Certified literate community in 1999. The CLCP is a unique community and education partnership seeking to eradicate illiteracy in our community.

Designated a Better Hometown Community in 1999. This program is a public-private partnership with the intent to revitalize small communities with populations between 1,000 and 5,000. Better Hometowns have access to technical assistance and fiscal resources designed to stimulate downtown revitalization.
